Feigin Electric’s ECOD Smart Optimizer has delivered a 17% reduction in electricity consumption at the manufacturing site of Great Cosmo Industries in Malaysia. The deployment, led by Feigin Electric’s Eastern Asia partner Co.Efficient Alpha, was part of a funded initiative under the UOB FinLab GreenTech Accelerator 2024 program.

Installed in April 2025 at Great Cosmo’s 24/7 operating facility in Kuang, Selangor, the ECOD system reduced energy waste through voltage optimization—lowering incoming voltage from 247V to 234V and stabilizing supply to electrical equipment. Verified data showed monthly savings of 13,445 kWh and RM 4,702, with projected annual cost savings of RM 121,040.

Independent third-party IIOT monitoring confirmed the system’s performance, validating a 5% voltage optimization and a carbon emissions reduction of 10 tonnes per month. Over 10 years, the system is expected to save over RM 1.2 million and eliminate 2,600 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

The project was one of 16 pilot deployments selected by UOB FinLab for funding and implementation following its GreenTech Accelerator 2024, which supported 33 sustainability-focused technology firms.

All results from the installation are suitable for inclusion in ESG reporting and corporate sustainability disclosures. The system required no downtime during installation and does not require ongoing maintenance.
